Springbank Hazelburn 15 Year Old 2006 Oloroso Cask

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
Hazelburn range takes its name from one of Campbeltown’s lost distilleries and was first produced at Springbank Distillery in 1997. Making full use of all three stills, this range is triple distilled and unpeated resulting in a spirit that is creamy, delicate and light.

Part of the Hazelburn core range, this is a 15 Year Old bottling of Hazelburn Single Malt matured in fresh and refill Oloroso sherry casks. Distilled in December 2006 and bottled in April 2022.

    Nose:   Hazelnut chocolate, juicy raisins, and toasted almonds lead the way with enjoyable undertones of berries and maple.

    Taste:    Dense wafts of blackberry and sticky liquorice are balanced by sweet, chocolatey Nutella whilst aromatic tobacco cushions more dark fruits and sprinkles of cracked black pepper.

    Finish:    Heaps of dark sherry on the finish, with soaked fruits, burnt caramel, earthy coffee, and anise.
