Springbank Hazelburn 12 Year Old Oloroso 2010

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
Hazelburn range takes its name from one of Campbeltown’s lost distilleries and was first produced at Springbank Distillery in 1997. Making full use of all three stills, this range is triple distilled and unpeated resulting in a spirit that is creamy, delicate and light.

Part of the Hazelburn core range, this is a 12 Year Old bottling of Hazelburn Single Malt from the Springbank distillery. This was matured in fresh and refill Oloroso sherry casks. Distilled in September 2010 and bottled in November 2022.

    Nose:   Fresh sherry, sticky honey sweetness, dried fruits, figs, dates, sweet strawberries, in the background something fresh like green apples, gooseberries, a bit of vanilla.

    Taste:    Strawberry jam, very sweet and creamy, lemon cake, toffee, oak spice, dark fruits, currants and blueberries, chocolate with nuts.

    Finish:    Medium, oak spiciness, pepper, a hint of leather, red fruit.
