Springbank 25 Year Old 2021 Release Single Malt Whisky

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.

This is the 2021 release of the annual limited edition Springbank 25 Year Old. It has been matured in a combination of 70% ex-Sherry, 15% ex-Bourbon and 15% ex-Rum casks. One of just 1,400 bottles.

    Nose:   Soft peat, maritime brine, strawberry jam, dunnage.

    Taste:    Oak, rubber, strawberry, peat is still here warming the palate, light pepper and ginger bite.

    Finish:    Juicy and dry at the same time, the red berry and oak drive the flavours with the peat and spice making it last for a long time.
