Springbank 2009 Local Barley 10 Year Old

Springbank distillery is located in Campbeltown, a picturesque Scottish town situated at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula on the glorious west coast.
The first reference to Campbeltown whisky is recorded in writing in 1591. Springbank was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still, becoming the 14th licensed distillery in Campbeltown. Today, Springbank is one of only three distilleries operating in the Campbeltown area and is the oldest independent family-owned distillery in Scotland.

This Springbank Local Barley 10 Year Old was distilled in July 2009 and bottled in 2019. The 'local barley' comes from the varietal 'optic' and was grown on the Kintyre Peninsula, High Cattadale Farm.
