Springbank 2007 Local Barley 10 Year Old

An exceptional Springbank Single Malt Whisky from the esteemed Scotland distiller, Local Barley 10 Year Old is a high-quality Single Malt bottled at 57.3% ABV.
This is one of a select number of releases produced using malted barley harvested from neighbouring farms in the Campbeltown area. They were first introduced in the late 1990s and were eventually re-named as the Local Barley series in the 2000s.
This is the 2017 release of the mid-2010s revival of the Local Barley range. Originally intended to be a five-part series, these are now being marketed as an annual release.

This Springbank Local Barley 10 Year Old was distilled in June 2007 and bottled in November 2017. The 'local barley' comes from the varietal Belgravia and was grown on the West Backs Farm, Kintyre, Scotland. One of only 9,000 bottles released.

Nose:    Full scent, strong alcohol, sweet and fruity, orange, apricot, honey. A bit vegetal, grassy and floral. As time passes by, more and more 'green' scents. Spicy too, pepper.

Taste:    Pretty powerful, sweet and fruity, peach, orange, honey, a bit floral as well. Pretty intense. Thick oily structure.

Finish:    Still powerful, quite some pepper, spicy. Sweet and fruity, honey, warming in the belly. Pretty long, intense.

Please note: Springbank labels are extremely prone to scuffing. We cannot guarantee these items are like new.
