Highland Park Triskelion Single Malt Whisky

Triskelion is the product of three legendary Highland Park Whisky Makers: Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane and John Ramsay, coming together to explore the influence of wood and cask seasoning on their whisky. The three Master Whisky Makers hand-selected and combined three principal cask types: first-fill sherry seasoned Spanish oak butts, first-fill sherry seasoned American oak casks and ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads, with a small number of refill casks added to provide a degree of softness to the single malt whisky’s final flavour.
Triskelion is inspired by the symbol of the triskelion, triskele or triquetra, found in many ancient cultures and featuring three bent branches, spirals or legs, radiating from one centre point.

    Nose:   Sweet vanilla, caramel, fresh herbs, light fruit, cookie dough. The smoke is heavy in the background.

    Taste:   Fruit, good sweetness, then some wood, nice spices.

    Finish:   Long, warm, fruity, spicy, nutty.
