Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Reserva Rum Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky

Reserva Rum Finish 21 Year Old Single Malt from Glenfiddich.
It has been matured for 21 years in ex-bourbon casks, then spent a further four months finishing in Caribbean Reserva rum casks which were hand selected by the Malt Master Brian Kinsman, adding to its distinctive and complex flavour and thus giving this expression its name.

    Nose:    Intense and vanilla sweet. Floral hints of banana, figs, rich toffee, new leather and oak.

    Taste:    Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant and drying, peppery, a touch of smoke, oak, lime, ginger and spices.

    Finish:    Very long, warming, dry and spicy.

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William Grant set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.
