Bruichladdich 17 Year Old XVII Single Malt Whisky

A sophisticated 17 Year Old Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bruichladdich distillery. This edition was released using stock from the previous owners of Bruichladdich, prior to the 2001 resurrection.

Nose:    Vanilla, orchids, strawberries, candy, malt, oranges and nuts.

Taste:    Sweet, spicy, malty, lemon peel. Some wood, soft peat and soft bitterness.

Finish:    Medium-long, with lingering honey and spices.

Note: Product has come from a private collection, minor markings are inevitable and collectors should have reasonable expectations in this regard.

Bruichladdich was built in 1881 by the Harvey brothers, who owned the Dundashill and Yoker grain distilleries in Glasgow.
Unlike their neighbouring distilleries from the island of Islay, the Bruichladdich range is made without peat. Without the influence of smoke, they expose the brilliance of our raw ingredient – barley. Stepping further outside of whisky tradition, they have traced ingredients from origin to bottling, embracing every growing season, the subtlety of changing barley varietals and the methods applied in growing them.
