Sullivans Cove distillery is an Australian whisky distillery located in Hobart, Tasmania. The distillery was established in 1994 and has since become known for producing some of the finest single malt whiskies in the world.
Sullivans Cove distillery uses only the highest quality ingredients to produce its whiskies, including locally sourced Tasmanian barley and pristine water from the surrounding mountains. The whiskies are crafted using traditional methods, including small-batch distillation in copper pot stills and aging in a combination of American oak and French oak casks.
The distillery offers a range of different whiskies, including its flagship Sullivans Cove American Oak, which is a smooth and creamy whisky with notes of vanilla, caramel, and honey. Other popular expressions include the Sullivans Cove Double Cask, which is aged in both American oak and French oak casks, resulting in a complex and layered flavour profile, and the Sullivans Cove French Oak, which is aged exclusively in French oak casks and has a rich and luxurious flavour with notes of dark chocolate, spice, and oak.
Sullivans Cove distillery has received numerous awards and accolades for its whiskies, including being named "World's Best Single Malt" at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014.
